error opening iCloud preferences from Spotlight

I get an error "Preferences error" whenever I try to open iCloud preferences from Spotlight, however it works fine if I go to the system preferences panel and I open it from there.
I can see from Google I am not the only one with this problem, but I could not find a fix.
Is this just one of those things that I should ignore?

Hmm... after seeing your post here, I just tried it and see the same thing. I guess it is just a El Capitan bug. It does not seem to be hurting anything.

What is funny though is I can launch that pref pane from Alfred launcher and I don't get the error message.

Coincidentally I had a similar issue yesterday where it said I was already logged in after I logged out.

Reconnecting to Wifi helped me.
