Phone: iPhone 5
iOS: 7.1.1
Carrier: Rogers
Error: Cannot Get Mail. The mail server "imap.gmail.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account into in Mail settings.

Details:
- I do not get the error in all circumstances.
- I am getting the error ONLY when I am attached to my work's WiFi. I don't get the error on 3G or on any other WiFi.
- If I use the Gmail app or any mail client other than iOS Mail, it works fine.
- I do not have Gmail 2-step verification enabled.
- re-setting Mail accounts had no effect
- removing & adding wifi network had no effect

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried Safari to access gmail on their WIFI? I had a similar problem years ago on a WIFI. I am trying my hardest to remember what I did to fix it...

Yes, I can use other clients to access mail. For example:
- web interface
- Gmail app
- Mailbox & other 3rd party apps.

Based on the overall symptoms, I suspect there's something on the network side of things causing the issue, not my on my iOS devices, but it's hard to say for sure- I can't come up with a way of pinning it down.
