I have my Photos Library loaded and I plugged my iPhone 6 into my MacBook Pro using the USB, so I can upload my new photos. My phone just keeps beeping some alarm and flashing its screen.

How do I correct this?

Thanks.

There was no alert showing on the screen, just the beeping and flashing of the screen. I just did an update on the iPhone and reloaded my Photos program on my MacBook Pro. I also updated my iTunes on the computer, which always loaded whenever I used to attach my iPhone (and I always closed it). Now the iTunes does not load (good) and the iPhone does not set off alarms. But my Photos program still does not find the iPhone, so I cannot import the videos (which never go through Photo Stream). Also, Photo Stream has not grabbed the new photos from the phone.
Still goofy. Any thoughts?
Thanks for any help.

Check in Image Capture to see what is selected. Open Image Capture and in the corner right see what function is selected.

Before I could try your suggestion, I ran the updates for the laptop and the phone and rebooted. After that it worked normally.
Thank you for your response. I will remember that if I run into this again.

Well, I just ran into the same problem again. I never used to have a problem plugging my iPhone into my laptop with Photos running. It would show up right away. Now, coming back to do it again, it once again won't work. You mentioned Image Capture. When I look in Launchpad, I don't see it. I searched for it in Finder and clicked on it and it just said no camera was attached (though my iPhone was attached). Where might I find it, to check settings or whatever.
Thanks.
BTW, all my photos are on an external drive, which is attached to my MacBook Pro before I load Photos. This never mattered before.

I think your Mac is not reading the iPhone. Is it charging when you plug it into the USB port?
