Error while Backing Up Purchased Music

I'm trying to burn a back disc of my purchased music from iTunes, but I get a error message. "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The burn failed because of medium write error". Can anyone translate?

Sounds like a bad disc to me.

From a google search, looks like you might try setting the burn speed lower if you are getting it on repeated tries.

This problem happened to me and i went crazy buying different brands of disks trying to fix it.😕
In my case i found out that it was a hardware problem not system related because i installed Mac os 9. One of the the only things i did not try was a cd drive cleaner. Of course try all the software tests first.
