Drobo S compatible expresscard/34 cards?

Sorry to post in the 'Mac Pro' forum but I saw this thread about the Drobo S and I'm wondering if I shouldn't get one to use with my MBP (2,2). If so, I'd need an expresscard/34 eSATA card.

My ReadyNAS NV+ just crapped out on me and I'm trying to diagnose its Seagate drives by booting my MBP into XP under Boot Camp so I can run SeaTools. Sadly, I can't seem to use my Newer Technologies USB to SATA adapter to do so.

So I figured, if I'm going to buy an eSATA expresscard/34 (because what other options have I got?) then I might as well get one that could support a Drobo S back under 10.6, so that when (if? gulp) I get my data off of the ReadyNAS NV+, it has somewhere else to go.

I'm looking at a whole bunch of them on macsales, and recognize some of the brand names you guys have mentioned... but those were presumably in desktop card form factors. Can anyone suggest a Drobo S-compatible e34 card, please?

Thanks!

Any new news on Xserve compatible eSata cards for Drobo

Came across this thread looking for help finding an eSata solution for the Drobo I just purchased. They recommend two cards on their website. So far I've tried the Sans Digital HA-SAN-2ESPCIE2 and the Xserve (late 2006 model, running the latest Snow Leopard Server) doesn't recognize the card at all despite running the latest beta driver from the chipset makers (Silicon Image) website. The card manufacturers website is horrible and they don't seem to offer tech support.

I ordered the other card to try, the Sonnet Tempo E2P, but am concerned about the previous discussion about no 64 bit kernel support. Can someone clue me in on what this means? Card won't work at all? Throughput will be slower than if 64 bit was supported? Anyone tried the new drivers released in May 2010?

Any other solutions for eSata with a Drobe in an Xserve anyone is aware of?
