I had chat with ATT support later and when I said I am on beta, they said to then go to store and they can activate. I have not gone but that’s the similar response I got too. But did not have the customer experience of having an appointment set and all.

Called 2 different Corp. stores and both have the standard response “att is not supporting esim” the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

Wonder how it went. My guess is support and the store will not agree on the answer.
I guess the feeling of "too good to be true" is always right. AT&T store has specific instruction the "DO NOT" activate any eSIM, and all eSIM inventory "NEED TO BE SECURED" as store manager showed me the corp memo. So, no luck still. I guess will just have to wait until official release by AT&T then.

That is the only option I would think. Outside of a specific need for two sims it works just the same as an esim or physical sim. Stinks to wait but have some turkey and perhaps it will be sorted in the mean time. :)
