To switch 1 line out of 4 on a current postpaid mobile shared plan from a sim to esim while keeping the same grandfathered postpaid mobile shared plan untouched? Also how much would it cost to go from sim to esim ? I would be keeping same number.

I don't care if it cost a little but can I pay right then and there for the switch via card or cash ?

I have my reasons to want to do this I can say if you want me to. If there is any disadvantages please let me know. Thanks.

Can you share? When I get the iPhone 12 Pro (hopefully) I will want to transition my AT&T SIM to an eSIM

Sure.

Just call 611 from a different line on the account and ask them to move from sim to esim. If the rep is worth their salt, they'll have you swapped over in no time. No plan change needed and no charges. They just need the phone number you are dealing with, the digital IMEI, and the EID.

No need for a QR code card? If not necessary, then a whole lot easier to set up than last year.
