Everytime I go to the MLB page of ESPN, Safari loads the page, then beachballs. I then have to force quit the application.

This seems to happen on pages that have video.

    Safari 4.0.3
    OS X 10.6.1
MBA 1.86 SSD (2nd gen MBA)
Newest Flash Player downloaded and installed.

You could try installing NoScript when you're on FF and seeing which script is causing it to crash.

The re-install of the 10.6.1 combo update seems to have worked, at least for now.

I deleted all my cookies/cache and that solved everything for me.

Are you trying to access gameday? Go to your favorite teams website, and open it from there.

Edit: oops, gameday is part of mlb.com, not espn. Nevertheless, you might want to try firefox with that site. I find that the flash plugin works nicer with firefox than safari at the moment.
