Which is why ESPN is going to start offering those things in the ESPN app in the next year or so. It was announced as a part of the new streaming options available directly from ESPN that are coming.

They announced a streaming service. They will not cannibalize their family of networks with it. They already said it will be for content not shown on ESPN.

Yeah - when I saw that my initial thought was...."umm, who wants to pay for the non traditional ESPN stuff"?

Good luck with effort guys..

It would be cool if one or two of those windows could be a twitter feed.

Was thinking the same thing. 1) ESPN doesn't have 2 NFL games on Sunday. 2) In October, MLB games will likely be on major networks. 3) Who cares about the NBA - especially in October? :p

Yeah I’m trying to see when this will come in handy but can’t off the top of my head. On Sat nights during CFB you may have multiple ESPN channels playing multiple games. But other than that, I can’t think of a time when I will use that feature.

Why isn't this a feature of the apple tv itself? I want to be able to watch four feeds from any combination of providers and not just ESPN.

GREAT question - immediately came to my mind also.

The poor AppleTV really feels like it got the Apple cold shoulder once they couldn't put together their own streaming package to offer.

One wonders if the "new model" that's rumored will address anything or just be a spec bump to 4k+HDR.
If nothing else - fix the god dam*** Siri remote nightmare please!!!!

Their dropping user base is already cannibalizing their mainstream service. Don't be surprised to see more and more content move over to their new platform where they can get more money per user (albeit at a much smaller userbase).
