2.0ghz white and just upgraded the hd to 120gigs and ram up to 1gig...you?

also where in ontario are ya? recently went to toronto and enjoyed it more than i ever have new york...
 
2.0ghz white/80gb/1gbram :d Man, the HD upgrades get expensive after 80gb. 60->80 was only 55$, but the next step is like, 110 or something?

I ordered by ground service on Tuesday afternoon; email said it would ship by the 23rd; it shipped on the 19th from China and went to Ankorage, Alaska. It just got cleared from customs and tracking says it will be here (Fletcher, NC) by the 24th at noon.
Does anyone else live in this part of the country and know the path my baby will take from Alaska? FedEx is pretty snappy; I will be here Wednesday!🙂

Says it left origin and was picked up by Fedex in Suzhou, CH... is that China?!

I ordered at 5PM PDT on Tuesday (May 16) - 1.83Ghz 60GB/1GB - online (through my college's website so I got the EDU discount). So yea, I still havent heard anything regarding shipping.

How quickly are you supposed to get your "Apple Store Order Acknowledgement" email? I ordered on Tuesday night, got my order confirmation Thursday night. Est. ship date May 23, est. arrival date May 31 🙁 🙁 🙁

I tried to cancel it Sat. morning (I got fed up and was just going to buy it locally and upgrade the RAM myself) and the website told me it couldnt cancel it. I see my CC has the hold on for the price of the laptop. Sigh. If I'm lucky it leaves China Monday (their time) and gets here before next weekend.
 
OK here's mine. I paid for 2-3 day shipping as well, and here's the tracking info from fedex. It looks like it's on a truck now that it's in the states, but that doesn't seem to make much sense. The newest update is first, so read it backwards to have it in order.

Hoping to get it tomorrow, but I bet they'll stretch it out to 4 business days. Is there any possibility of a refund since it did not ship in 3 business days or less? It surely seemed to have made friends in indianapolis, as it was hanging out there for quite some time.

It was in indianapolis for 25 Hours and 38 mins. 🙄 Oh, and I ordered the morning of the announcment. 06:24 AM PST, to be exact.

Edit: Black, 120 gig hd. If only I had known about the easy hd swap!

Hey... quick shipping here...

Okay-

I placed my order last Saturday night, May 13th. Due to the fact they were changing the CPU in the MBP, I assume they did not start building mine untill the following week. In fact, I didnt even get an email letting me know they were processing it untill after the TUESDAY Press Release regarding the MBP changes.

I was a bit dissapointed to not see anything happen on monday or tuesday, but wednesday it was built, and shipped. I opted for the two day shipping, even though apple is pretty quick anyways. Finally after I got my tracking number, I went to town.

Let's just say I was very happy. 11pm the day before it arrived, It was on it's way from alaska to Indiana. It then left Indiana about midnight PST, arrived in oakland around 5 PST, a driver from monterey picked it up, drove it back down here and put it on a truck.

I am very happy with the laptop. Does not make a sound. Also, after extensive CPU testing I was not able to get the laptop to overheat. In fact, I did not even apply the SMC update. I have yet to get the CPU over a luke-warm temperature. Something tells me they changed something in the MBP when they released the changes.
 
My tracking says estimated delivery date as being on May 23rd, 10:30am.

Mine also had a May 23rd at 10:30am delivery date. It came early, as you can see above on my previous post.

Yes. You're laptop will be on a truck Monday morning for delivery. Expect it before 4:30 in the afternoon. In fect, before noon sometimes. If you are wondering why it's been at fedex LA since yesterday, it's because it doesnt go anywhere on the weekends unless it's moving from location to location. So in answer to your question, yes, it will be on a truck Monday AM around 7:30 to be dropped off at your location.

Hey! thanks for responding. I didn't think I would get a response. I got the 2 Day shipping in Black 100GB, 1 GB Ram Model.
 
Woohoo! My MB shipped (May 22). All the FedEx page says so far is "Package data transmitted to FedEx" no word on exp. delivery date. I knew I should take one last look before I went to bed.
 
Mine is still saying, in Fedex's tracking page, "Left Origin - Suzhou, CN" .. been like that for around 24 hours now.

Edit: The glossy screen is very nice. Makes everything look much more realistic. Also the screen is so bright I have to use it turned down.

Large order 1.83Ghz MacBooks Estimated ship time

The school district I work for has ordered 48 MacBooks 1.83GHz version on May 19th. The estimated ship date is showing May 31st. I would like to see them sooner, but I guess I can wait.

Actually I just checked my tracking again and it says the package missed the cutoff or something. So I guess its still on the ground in China, however it wouldnt surprise me if your laptop was on that plane. Looks like I'll be waiting for tomorrow's flight out. 🙁
 
Well my package made it to Anchorage, but hell - today's a Canadian holiday. Damnit Queen Victoria!!! So I'll have to wait another day. Still says it's in Anchorage - think it can make it here tomorrow? I bought the Fast shipping.
 
mine's left indiana this morning..should get here tomorrow unless something goes horribly wrong, i suppose
 
Well according to Fedex, it's still "Departed Fedex Location - Memphis, TN" .. It apparently left @ 3:53AM on May 23. Okay, sure, it's not here yet- but I at least expect it would have arrived where it needed to arrive - say, in Canada? Does Fedex have a delay when reporting movement of packages? Or do they forget sometimes? I don't know how they work it, so.. hm

Think it could get here for tomorrow?
