ETA for White?

I'm trying to figure out if the iPad 3 will be available in white when it's announced next week.

Was the iPad 2 immediately available in white? Or was it only available at first in black?

Thanks.
 
White was immediately available with ipad2's and iphone 4S's.

It was delayed on iphone 4's due to production issues.

There is not even any point speculating. The only people who really know are Apple themseleves.

Exactly my point. Speculating on what will be available is a foolish game. For all intensive purposes there may not even be a new iPad (I know, highly unlikely, but we still don't know).

Well... crap. My bad on the assumption.

I hope that the iPad 3 will at least be able to keep calendar and contact information similar to the iPad 2. Playing my music library would be a plus.

I'll just try to be patient and wait for the announcement. If there is one.
