I have been a big fan of getting refurbished iPads directly from Apple. The brand new shell, glass, and battery are great. So I am holding onto my ipad 4 until the new iPad Air 2 starts selling at the Apple refurbished store. It will usually be instant $80 off normal price to start out.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes Apple to get the current product to their refurbished store? Are we talking one or two months or more like 6 months?

A thin layer of speaker vibration proofing insulation added to it would also be great. :D

People must be happy with their air 2. As an air 2 owner since Black Friday it is probably my favorite device.

Any news on this? no air 2's on the refurb store

You can usually find sales on brand new ones on eBay or Best Buy that are cheaper than refurbs would be. I would recommend keeping an eye out using one of the deal posting sites.

Yup. Typical discount I'm seeing nowadays is $100 on brand new wifi models. I think just this past week, I've seen the iPad Air 2 128GB WiFi for $599 on TechBargains. Not much sense to wait for refurbs unless you want a model that's not usually discounted such as the LTE versions.
