Anyone else having trouble with EL on a mac? It's the poor man's world of warcraft. (Free). Just can't seem to find the el.ini file that is meant to be here somewhere.... is it an 'invisible file' I'm meant to put a ~ in front of or something?

    How to find "el.ini"

Well, I had quite a bit of difficulty with this problem, but I managed to figure it out. Okay, so what you do is this: right-click(well actually control-click) on EternalLands.app, and in the right-click menu, and click "Show Package contents". If you have trouble finding it, it's the option just under "Open" and right above "Move to Trash". Okay, then, a window will open up, and it will have a file called "Contents". Open "Contents" and then open the file "Resources". Then open the file called "Data". el.ini will be the seventh file down on the list. its going to be in Notepad format, which is a Windows program, so all you need to do to open the file is right-click on it, then select "Open With", and chose "Other" and type "Textedit" into the search bar. you may also want to check the box that says "Always open with", so you don't have to go through that whole process again, just because you made a mistake or something like that.

    Good luck with Eternal Lands,
    Falcorion

Nah, I've decided that game is just way too dull, and too slow, and too much of a commitment to bother with ever again. They make it like a career! He who wins wastes the most time, and ultimately loses.

Better to learn one REAL skill in the real world, like a new recipe, than a dozen EL / WOW 'skills' in a virtual world of no real impact.
