You need a CAT 5 or better that's called a crossover cable. Regular Ethernet cables can't go from computer to computer. Other than that, it's simple.

Target disk more would be a good idea if you have a firewire. If not, over a network with a CAT5 cable would be a good alternative.

Could be, I just figured ethernet was a standard.
