I have four Apple TV 4K devices, and I noticed that one of them was connected via Wi-Fi despite having an ethernet cable connected.

I verified that the ethernet cable and connection is good with another device. Reset the Apple TV, still no ethernet.

I moved one of the other Apple TV boxes to the same place and connected it - voila, ethernet connection. I assumed the ethernet port on the original Apple TV box was dead.

But then I noticed that the moved device was on TVOS 14, so I updated it, and now it too doesn't use ethernet.

Anyone else found anything like this?

Bit more investigation, and while two of my ATV4K boxes are fine, two are affected and won't show an ethernet connection. They're all on 15.2. now. A chat with Apple support has resulted in a vague admission that this is an issue they are seeing quite widely and that it will probably be fixed in a future update.
