Well, anyway, if you stick with the manual settings that I suggested and just change the ethernet router setting on the Mac to the same as the router address for your Airport, I'm pretty certain it will work.

Sorry it hasn't worked, I'm surprised that it hasn't as I gave the settings that I gave you in the first place to somebody last year and it sorted them out.

Just to be sure, did you try restarting internet sharing by unticking and ticking it again after you'd changed the ethernet configuration?
