Hi, I purchased a USB-C ethernet adapter for my Macbook Air. I plug it in to my Mac and it works fine. When I wake my Mac from sleep, there is no connection. I have to unplug and plug back in the adapter. I did a google search and it seems like a common issue. Any ideas?

I can't offer a solution to the problem, but I'll make a recommendation:

If you lose the connection after sleep, try disconnecting the ethernet cable from the "far end" of the adapter, rather than unplugging the adapter from the MacBook's USBc port and re-connecting it.

Reason: you don't want to put too much "wear and tear" on the port itself, if you can re-establish the connection by disconnecting/reconnecting the ethernet cable.

Don't know if this will work, but it's worth trying.

Thanks, I've tried that too, doesn't work. I can't imagine this is the expected behavior, but searching online, it seems to be?
