Hello,

EtreCheck sounds "good".

Anyone using ?
Safe ? Reputable outfit ?

Any caveats ?

Thanks,
Bob

Throwing my 2c in here as well. EtreCheck is a fantastic app. Helped me discover a large amount of issues with my Mac related to rogue processes and network calls. Definitely helpful in that it identifies and highlights possible problem areas, including launch daemons and browser plugins.

Hi Chrisdazzo,

Will give it a try.
Perhaps I can find some reason(s) for the really slow switching
back and forth speeds when I play with Bootcamp and W10.

Works fine, but sure is slow.

Thanks for help,
Bob

What kind of storage do you have installed in your iMac?
ssd, hd, or fusion?
[doublepost=1533383649][/doublepost]I'm asking this because when you switch from the one OS to the other one, a full reboot of the iMac is happening, so the speed of the drive is a very serious factor.

Hi,

I have a 1 TB HD on the iMac.

Not sure, and I hate to show my ignorance here, but, I "think" that
I bought it with the Fusion option also. But not sure.
Where would i look to find out ?

Regards,
Bob

Hello,

Yes, it says that it is a "Fusion Drive".
3.4 GHz
Intel Core i5
8 GB Memory
Running High Sierra
