Etymotic ER4 IPhone

I was wondering if anyone has made Etymotic ER4 (which is my favorite earbud) work with IPhone without using any adaptor.

I've seen ppl shaved off their earbud plug a little bit to make it work with iphone. not sure if this will work on ER4 as well....

I've got ER6s and they worked just by pushing them in firmly. They only fit in one position but would fit in all positions if trimmed a little.

The unmodified ER4s will not fit into the iPhone without an adapter or modification. I shaved mine down and now they fit just fine, but you have to be willing to take an Xacto knife to them!
