iPhone 16/Plus EU users, are you uppgradering to iPhone 16 this year?

As far as I concern, upgrading to iPhone 16 series this year is meaningless for EU residents. Unless someone is using an iPhone 11 or earlier model. Even for them, going for a 13-15 is enough. It’s because, lack of Apple Intelligence in EU.
What do you think?

The lack of Apple Intelligence in the EU made me stay put. I have a 14 Pro and was debating the upgrade as the battery is slowly approaching the 80% health. But decided not to upgrade. I’ll just change the battery when needed and save some money. The new phones are not drastically different so it’s not worth it.
I’ll use the money to buy a pair of B&O headphones to live next to the AirPods Max (that they also didn’t update).

I upgraded only to see if the 16 Pro has really a better battery life as Apple claims and that I can make it through a whole day with it. I just really want a smaller phone again (on 15 Plus currently).

I will upgrade from the iphone 14 pro max to the 16 pro max. Mainly because of the usb-c port.

I‘m torn between keeping the 15PM and upgrading to a 16PM… the changes are minimal and I REALLY dislike Apple‘s decision to block EU users from Apple Intelligence (why no Opt-In ffs?!). Therefore I lean towards NOT upgrading just to show at least some tiny bit of disagreement by this… even though I practically upgraded yearly since the iPhone 3G

I have had an US Apple ID since the iPod Touch days so Apple Intelligence is working for me. However, I don't really use it 😅

Trading in my iPhone 15 Plus to go down in size to the regular iPhone 16 Pro for it's camera. Galaxy Fold 6 is my main device.

Yeah I'm curious how this will turn out in real life usage, if it's better or worse. Or maybe almost the same.
