This was the most exciting MacBook Pro order ever - thanks to all you folks providing the detailed infos, links, flight tracking infos. My 16" MBP also showed up in Cologne today - looking forward to receiving it tomorrow, just in time for the weekend. ?
Indeed, this escalated way more than last time (I remember the legendary "Waiting for the 2016 MPB" thread here on MacRumors…). A lot of fun to dedicate some time digging all these info with some fellow nerds who are all similarly excited about these new computers ❤️

Apple says mine will arrive on the 29th but UPS says 2nd of November… The last update I have is that it cleared customs in Shanghai yesterday.
I’m not sure if the UPS flights are direct to Europe from Shanghai nor how frequent they are.
Mine‘s also still stuck in Shanghai. I guess we gonna be on the same plane then tomorrow, moving from Shanghai to South Korea, to Cologne. But then it‘s not very likely to get delivered before the weekend. Probably on Monday, or depending on your local holiday situation on Tuesday (luckily I live in a state where Monday isn't a holiday).

My first posts on here were on the 2016 MBP shipping thread, under my old account jonyiveswhiteroom where I was helping people find their MAWBs from DHL to trace around the world. I’ve long lost those credentials sadly, but still been madly tracking cargo around the world the last 96 hours ??‍♀️

Got mine as well. Let's see how long it takes to good old Austria ;-)
If you're close to Vienna, we're both in luck tomorrow :)
Maastricht here. I'm always tempted to jump into the car and pick it up in Cologne myself, as it's only a 45 min drive.

Edit: if they offered the option, I would so drive over lol.
I think GLS offers it. You can pick it up at their distribution facility.

Shanghai > Seoul > Cologne > every other destination

It flies every day though not sure about weekends.

Luckily and not a holiday are two words I never heard together ?

Same situation here, except UPS says delivery Monday the 1st of November. Seems the most likely scenario, if it still has to go from Shanghai -> Europe and then here, it won't be here until sometime on Saturday, and UPS doesn't deliver on Sunday as far as I know.

Yes, same scenario here.
UPS + Apple both say delivery on Monday, and mine is still in Shanghai if the scans are correct.
Last message I received is the "Your package has cleared customs and is on the way." from Shanghai, 28 Oct 2021, 03:53.

My hope is they gonna fly tomorrow on the same plane we‘ve followed today (UPS11) from Shanghai via Seoul/Injokern to Cologne and are then distributed over the weekend to their final destinations, for delivery on Monday morning. ?

A bit late but here it is: the eagle has landed in Cologne :D

Isn’t there a huge hub in the Netherlands too? My Apple orders often come from there.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why the loaded plane has to go to Seoul first?
It's shorter from Seoul to Cologne than from Shanghai to Cologne (@beeftrader and I have checked). Technically some planes could do it, but they would need more fuel, which results in a heavier plane, which results in less cargo.

Mine is now “in transit”

According to 17TRACK. Don’t see anything different in UPS app.
You mean the status message under your tracking number in 17track? Maybe it's the same as UPS's "on the go"? But scan wise, both 17track and UPS show the last scan as arrival in cologne. Is yours different?

I think it’s just this part that changed but don’t know what was there before. Latest status is still ‘Koeln, DE, Arrived at Facility’

I just bailed and bought in John Lewis instead. They amazingly had the same custom configuration I ordered, with bonus of 2 year warranty. There's quite a lot of stock if anyone else is tired of the refresh game. ?
ha just saw this! after all this stress with the apple order, I can't believe they've got a Max 14" 32gb/1tb BTO in!

all gone now though
