iPad Evaders jailbreak not working?

Did you update OTA or via itunes?
Only updates via itunes can use evasi0n on 7.0-7.06
I bought an ipad air that is still on ios 7.0.4, so I tried to jailbreak it with evaders but doesnt seem to work anymore...

Then it was probably updated to ios 7.0.4 using an OTA update.
You can JB it only if it got to that version using itunes.
Nothing you could really do about it, just bad luck I guess.

As far as i know the signing window for 7.1.2 is still open
You can download the IPSW for 7.1.2
restore with that through itunes (shift-click retsore for WIN or alt-click restore for MAC)
than jailbreak with Pangu

Not possible to brick it.
Just follow directions and if you mess up you can always restore to stock ios 8.
Nothing that cannot be undone with a restore.
