What does iLife have to do with productivity?

It can produce something and I have seen many people use it for creating something worthwhile, even if there might be no money involved.

I have seen some people who took their first steps in music making with Garage Band, some who did their websites, some who made movies, and many of those changed to more professional software later on, some even to make money from it.

So while it might seem, that iLife is only for consumers and YouTube and such stuff, some have taken the first steps into the direction they wanted to.

• Ecology the rate of production of new biomass by an individual, population, or community; the fertility or capacity of a given habitat or area : nutrient-rich waters with high productivity.

I will be a freshman at Southeast Missouri State

its not that i NEED a MBP for my major, its just that i have worked very hard through HS to earn a substantial scholarship so i want to reward myself for my hardwork. I have also had a 20+ hr/week job for the past three years. I can definately afford one.

the only thing is that my dad doesnt think Macs are good for college (i know i know... :/) so im trying to convince him other wise

Semo is right next to me! :)
