I've found EVE to be nigh unplayable on my MBP.
I chalk it up to the fact that they've taken the virtual machine r... oh hell, let's call it what it is: emulation.
They're emulating windows to run EVE, it's not a real port, and so there are bound to be all sorts of problems baked right in!
If you want it to work right, bootcamp is really the way to go.
I don't know why they even bother with this cider BS. The performance hit alone makes it worth the effort to do a full port.
But I think it's far more likely they'll (they being games companies) just keep releasing crappy CIDER and similar fake ports until we've all just given up on MAC games and play on boot camp.
