We all know about the recent state visit where the White House brought a dozen CEOs to China to pay respects.

Usually, people ask for selfies with Tim Cook. This time, Cook is the one asking for one.

Like that there is a “groupie” side to Cook. Mr. Cook is transitioning corporate responsibility at an absolute high point in his tenure at Apple.

I can't find anything in the clip that looks like Tim Cook asking for a selfie.

Let me quarterback this for people who still don't see it.

Fuyao supplies a lot of automotive glass to Tesla. In all likelihood, Apple approached Fuyao for glass as well, perhaps for the Apple Car. Hence, Tim wanted a photo with Musk and Hui.

• I'll take the reliance on frames from a second video as a concession that the implied activities were indeed not visible in the first one.

• Your caption "Tim Cook signals to guy in blue suit he wants photo" still seems to be doing all the work there. How different could "Tim Cook indicates to guy in blue suit he's available for photo as requested" possibly have looked?

• Even if "Tim Cook signals to guy in blue suit he wants photo," how do you get from merely "chose to" to "couldn't resist"?

Not that I'm against using one's imagination.

Why would blue suit guy take a photo of three well known people at the banquet without himself in it? He sits there, waiting for people to gather in front of him so he can take a photo? That makes no sense.

Blue suit guy is just sitting there, gestures to Tim Cook, and Tim Cook obediently moves into position beside Elon. Immediately after the photo, Tim Cook gives a thumbs up to blue suit guy. What is Tim Cook? A restaurant waiter? Blue suit guy must be more powerful than Trump and Xi combined.

A few moments later, you see Xiaomi CEO move next to Elon for a selfie. It's pretty clear Elon is the star at that banquet.
