At least we now have a date to write down on the calendar. The demand for this is gonna be huge. I saw a report that Foxconn was producing 150,000 units a day. At that rate, it's gonna take several weeks of production to keep up with demand

The only thing worse than not having a launch date, is having one but not being able to get your hands on one due to lack of availability.

Wow. This is just getting odd now. So no announcement of iPhone at the past Big Event. Now no September event either? What is going on lately? Apple has got to be having some serious software/hardware/manufacturing issues to have to keep delaying all this.

There aren't delays if nothing has been promised. It seems equally likely they are shifting their product release cycle.
