eventhough i restored with a stitched custom firmware. still asking for valid sim

just help me dude. m stuck in middle... should i re jailbreak it ?
all i want to unlock it.. with out jail breaking.... is it possible ?
because you need a valid carrier sim you are jailbreaking not unlocking.
and what if i don't have a " Valid Carrier SIM " C'z i bought it from my local market in jailbroken condition....
what should i do now ?
get one of Ebay
would jailbreaking my phone help me unlocking it without Valid SIM card ?

i just put my sim. found it working. i bought it but couple of days a go CYDIA crashed and my phone stuck at boot logo.
so i tried Redsnow > Just boot ... didn't work
so it pulled my SHSH Blob file, stitch with custom 5.0.1 ipsw and Restored it via iTunes...
now after restoring its asking for valid SIM...
m quite surprised of " what is the use of stitching my blob file when its still asking for a valid sim " ?

i restored it with stitched custom 5.0.1 ipsw...hopinh it won't ask for valid sim as i have already stitched Blob file in custom ipsw

The stitched blob has nothing to do with activating the phone with a sim.
You will still need a sim to activate it and open cydia to install ultrasnow to unlock.
You can buy a sim on eBay for $1-2
It can be empty or inactive as long as its from the carrier the iPhone is locked to.

4.2.1, 4.3, 4.3.3, 5.0.1
so should i try 4.2.1 ipsw ? cab it be hacktivate ??

Your going to need to do the restore first then use Redsnow to jailbreak it this will also allow the phone to activate which you will then need to go into Cydia to download the tweak for the unlock. Then you should be fine using your sim card.

this is wrong! As Applejuiced asked what BB are on the only bb that works on a I4 is 1.59 which was released with 4.0 and 4.0.1 there after is must be preserved. Also BB can not be downgraded on a I4 your only other option might be a gevey sim http://www.applenberry.com/store/gevey-sim/gevey-ultra

i just JB my phone with Redsn0w ( without selecting Stock firmware )
but still its asking for a SIM...
on youtube i saw another guy , he simply JB and got his home sceen and then he installed ultra snow in order to unlock.....
by the way, during the JB process , i do remember the last step is " Activating " what does it mean ?
hopefully somebody else will have the patience to help you! gl mate! one more tip learn about jailbreaking and unlocking they are not the same.

Shsh blobs are only to be able to restore your phone to older firmware that apple no longer signs. Without blobs you will only be able to restore to the latest firmware that's out. They have nothing to do with activating the phone.

Redsn0w can activate the phone while JB-ing.
@OP there actually 3 different issues
1) you can only RESTORE to 5+ firmware if apple is still "signing" that firmware, apple is currently only signing the 5.1 firmware. With your shsh/apticket stitched to your ipsw you can still use the older 5.01 firmware to restore.
2) most phones are simlocked to a certain carrier, to get the phone working and to the homescreen or ACTIVATED you need to have a sim from the original carrier. You can use redsn0w to activated the phone while jailbreaking the phone, select the "activate" option when asked by redsn0w, you can now access the phone on the homescreen
3 when the phone is simlocked you can only make calls if the sim of the original carrier is in, you need to UNLOCK the phone. if your baseband or radio portion (look under Settings/general/info modemfirmware version ) is 1.59.0
In that case install ultrasn0w in cydia, and reboot, it should work.
If your BB is different than 1.59.00 but BELOW 4.11.08 you will have to purchase a Gevey sim interposer to get it to work.
so first ACTIVATE your phone with redsn0w
