I'm thinking about it. I have a few scratches that don't really bother me because I can't see them when the screen is on but now that I have one that's a little more apparent, I'm considering it. Do people do this. It seems ridiculous and yet I continue to consider it.

How about installing a glass screen protector?

It should hide most scratches and cost you a lot less.

Mono Price has screen protectors for around $1 each.

Now I never worry about scratches. If something does happen to the screen, I peel off the protector and put another one on. Done.

Perfect screen, anti-glare, no worries.

It's not. Just do it I did it the other day. I can't concentrate or use the phone with knicks and scratches

Apple does it for free

I had minor scratches on the screen caused by my Otterbox case. I never tried to have Apple replace it due to scratches, but another problem arose that warranted a replacement. I don't even remember which phone it was.

And no, Apple does not replace screens for free.
