Sometimes I'm just not feeling the need or desire to get all those notifications. I can set my iPhone down and walk away, but if I'm wearing my Apple Watch those notifications follow me. So if/when you decide to unplug, what watch do you strap on? I rarely go without a watch so there is *something* on my wrist. What's your alternative to a smartwatch?

For me it's a Casio G-Shock, basic square GWM-5610.

Nope.

I can just ignore my tech, reduce or turn off notifications etc.

I do have a G Shock but it never gets any wrist time these days. I took it out to charge and sync the other day just to keep the cell fresh.

I don't have anything mechanical, the Apple Watch was my introduction to watches entirely. If I don't feel like wearing it, I just take it off. Most of the time I just put on DND or mute, though. It's worked so far.

I have to wear mechanical watches for work (working in sports timekeeping for major watch manufacturers), but before TV are there and as soon as their cameras are turned off after the event, it is back to my Apple Watch!!! I need the comms for work and activity tracking for personal motivation!

I turn my Apple Watch off. Saves battery since I'm not really using it, and can still see the time by pressing the Digital Crown.

I've got some nice mechanical watches and they were my go-to when I wanted to disconnect. But the rigors of work make it unwise to strap a Rolex or Omega to my wrist. When I was an admin in the office I could and did wear them. Once I moved onto the loading dock I needed something durable, replicable, and relatively slim. The G-Shock fit the bill nicely.

I have a G-Shock style protective case/band for my Apple Watch now. Several in fact. The orange rubber is today's choice - cheap and durable, about $12 on Amazon a while back. Bought it for my AW5 and it fits perfectly on my AW8.

Nope!! I don’t have many notifications turned on for my watch & if I want to disconnect from the few I have, I’ll just use DND.

Maybe when I retire but my customer expect mr to answer the phone of text without fail. It is why my company has been so successful. They are used to placing an order and knowing I will get it done.

For me I delete most notifications in my Apple Watch. So when I want to unplug I leave my phone and take my cellular Apple Watch.
