Evernote has added the ability to switch between multiple Evernote accounts to the Mac version of the popular note taking and organization app. The update gives power users with more than one account, or those with multiple Evernote users sharing one computer, a simple but useful feature.

The update also includes a number of more minor additions:
A slew of UI tweaks and keyboard shortcuts have been added, and there's now the ability to post a note to LinkedIn from the app. Evernote's blog points out that Evernote 3.3 from the Mac App Store complies with Mountain Lion's sandboxing rules, and "it is possible that users on older versions of Mac OS X will experience changes in functionality."
Evernote for Mac is available free via the Mac App Store [Direct Link] or for iPhone and iPad via the App Store. [Direct Link]

Evernote premium accounts are available for $5/month or $45/year. Premium accounts include a larger upload capacity, greater sharing options, access to note history, and more.

Love Evernote. Didn't get it in the past but then watched a couple of vids on youtube on how people use it and was sold. Now I really don't know what I did without it!

Is this advertising or news?
It's a minor update, direct download links are there, even premium costs are mentioned with a link to buy.

They need to bring a password option to the free version...that would be the best update at this point.

I'm all for MacRumors covering cool Mac software on the Mac Blog, but does a minor feature update to Evernote really warrant this post?

Today is a special day. It marks a time when we break away from tradition, from the one account lifestyle we've become accustomed. No longer will we be forced to log out, then in, like we had to in the past. NO! Today we can switch, without logging out. Indeed it is a remarkable achievement. It feels like only yesterday that I logged out, then in, to switch Evernote accounts. Those were bad days, bad days indeed. Thank god for Evernote adding account switching. They have saved my life. ;)

In other news, the morning came, then went. If only we could add Day Switching... One can hope. :(

Well, this section is titled "Mac Blog", and if you look at most other true Apple blogs out there, they would cover something like this, especially if they were getting money from it. So long as MR stays mostly news and only has the occasional advertising post I don't mind.

Evernote horrible audio quality

I would use Evernote but the audio quality is horrendous. Anybody else notice that? I'll admit I am speaking more in terms of the iOS version, but not having both iOS and Mac versions of the program functioning correctly means that for me, I'm out on both counts.
