We have MBP that had it's battery fail and the date was set back to 2000.

No problem PRAM reset and the date is now working again.

However, EVERY single file on the computer now has a November 15, 2013 "creation stamp".

Every document, every photo, and every email.

In iPhoto, this means every picture in our 50 GB library was taken 4 days ago (yikes!).

In Mail, every email we've ever sent or received is just 4 days old (double yikes!).

If we use EXIF Viewer on a picture, the real original date taken IS there...

iPhoto rebuilds & Mailbox rebuilds do not make a difference.

I am prepared to make a new iPhoto library and re-import (maybe this will fix the issue), but I haven't a clue what to do about Mail.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance!

OK - so a problem that came close to a complete wipe and reload turns out to be a very simple issue.

Open the Language & Text pane of System Preferences and check the date format.

Solved.
