No doubt its an amazing display, a lot has been said. But what amazes me also is the battery life I am getting.

Unless all you're doing is reading text and running the 5-6 programs that are actually retina friendly, everything on the RMBP is fuzzy and blurry.

Well it's a good thing that I do a lot of text reading (software developer) and the few programs I do use (Safari, Transmission, MplayerX, Sublime Text 2, and Xcode) are Retina friendly.

1080p is not going away anytime soon.

1080p is a television standard.

rMBP uses a non-Standard computer resolution.

DVI was capable of doing 2560x1600 long before HDMI and 1080p.

I agree, I didn't say it was going away, hell Blu Rays with 1080P quality have been mainstream for 5 years nearly now and DVDs are still made and sold quite regularly. I'm just saying, it shows people the possible future for expansion.

What battery app is that?

What sucks about getting used to the rMBP is you start to hate anything else that's not a high-res display.

x2. After seeing the MBPr in the Apple Store, my 1080p 22'' monitor looked like garbage.

why is it that i can't seem to get more than 4 hours of battery life on my rmbp? i have it set to integrated.. but it still drains quite quickly.

I've been amazed, too. I can hardly use an iMac, now. Running standard definition video on it is pretty lulzy, too. The box is so small hahaha!
