Like the title says: every time I start up my computer every programs opens up as well. It takes a few minutes for them to load and for me to shut them all down.

How can I turn this off?

Thanks in advance!

If it is just your toolbar programs that launch at startup, right-click on each toolbar icon and select "options". Verify that "Open at Login" isn't selected, turn it off if it is.

Did someone have access to your computer and played a trick on you?:)

Um, that is, your Dock items. It's not Windows. ;)

Yes, it is the dock.:)

I use both systems daily ... and I apologize for my dyslexic terminology.

I would hope that the OP understood what I meant, but the OP hasn't been back with any response ... perhaps he is busy closing open apps?

One can also look into System Preferences > Accounts > My Accounts > Login Item, which is a bit easier than right clicking on every ****ing Dock icon.
