Every time I plug in my iPhone to charge, it takes up all my bandwidth for some reason. Why does it do that? I always thought I had a problem with my wifi, but I noticed this a little while ago. When I put my phone on airplane mode, and plug it in to charge, all is well. But when I charge it normally, it slows my internet down to a snails pace. I dont have wifi sync checked, the phone is up to date, so I cant really understand why it does that. Thought maybe someone has experienced the same thing, or at least understands why it does this.

Might be background app refresh/update? Or Mail fetch?

That is what I think/thought it was. What I did was every time I plugged the phone in, or ipad for the matter (did the same thing), I would turn it to Airplane mode, and then my network went back to normal. The apps are all up to date though.

One of the first things I did was make sure that was unchecked.

It could be iCloud backup using all your bandwidth.
