I ordered mine within a minute of when orders started and it arrived last Friday.
When the 512gb becomes hard to find, people start jumping to the 1TB.

I walked into the Apple Store here last Friday and said do you have any stock of the iPhone 14PM. Only in 128gb and 1TB in space black. I’ll take the 1TB model lol. Yesterday I walked into the Apple Store at 4pm again and said do you have any watch ultras left he said only in the white with large band. I said I’ll take it. In and out in 15 minutes. I have to stop going to the Apple Store. I told mall security if you see me coming around this building again escort me out. I have more Apple products this year that I own them I ever own from Apple

I think there's probably 3 factors at play here...
- Lower production of 1TB models because Apple know the market is a small percentage of the total
- People who genuinely do want 1TB models
- People paying extra for the 1TB because they wanted 256GB or 512GB but both were sold out and they don't want to wait
It’s like every time I come around the Apple Store, they have what i want instock lately and as I’m processing the payment and I talk to the store employee. They always say “your timing is just right, you purchased our last one”. I say like no sh!? I got all the luck today to empty my pockets. Its like I have a FOMO for these devices.

Doesn't help when taking photos or videos. A 2 minute 4K video I just took ran ~1Gb.
iCloud always automatically keeps my phone around 80-100 GB of free space. Unless I take all the long vidoes at once, I personally never run into any issues with 256GB (minimum needed for ProRes video).
Get 2TB plan, then you don’t need 1TB model.
Doesn't help if you are rapidly filling up your phone with gigabytes of photos and videos. iCloud synching is extremely slow even on fast networks. It can take days.

I don't know what network you are on but it's never taken days to sync iCloud, and space gets freed up as they get uploaded. Do you usually take 50G+ videos in a day?
