The new iPhones SCREAM high-end. Funny seeing these compared to the cheap knock-off-looking Pixel devices that look like the worst of generic Android phones. The design team deserves raves! I was knocking the Air from the mock-ups, but the production versions are the slickest looking things!

Mark Gurman says : “ OOOOPPPPPPSSSSSS “

As usual, time after time after time, and again and again and again, 7 out of 10 WRONG predictions.
And yet macrumors keeps mentioning him 10-20 times a day!!
So the question is, macrumors, how much DOES he pay you?

Gurman's accuracy is on par with Apple's innovation these days!

Apple Watch Ultra. Would love to upgrade but it doesn’t seem there is anything to upgrade to. Ok, my bank account will be happy and my credit card deserves a much needed rest after all. AWU 1 just fine.

Ahhh, didn‘t even read it. iPhone this, iPhone that, thinnest ever, best ever … blah …

Look at what Apple did not announce and look at something that tells you, how many years Apple has fallen behind Google.

Look at the live translate and voice emulation

Sorry guys, but Apple is done. I‘m still caught in the Apple universe but maybe my next smartphone/watch iteration will take me to a Pixel10 and a Garmin Watch.

I don‘t think that Apple can keep up with what the Pixel is now - nor in one neither in two or 3 years.

Not interested in upgrading anything this year.

My iPhone 14 Pro still works fine and I have plenty of storage space available. I’ve used 7% battery health in less than a year since the back was repaired and battery replaced (due to the design, they did the battery for free).

My Apple Watch Series 6 stainless steel still lasts me until the next morning. Yes, the battery may not last to track my sleep if I recorded the 3 outdoor walks I do to get to, and walk back from, work instead of just the one I do record, but I could just buy a new battery for that.

My AirPods Pro 2 work mostly fine. They occasionally distort audio for a bit of time when watching something on my Apple TV 4K & the battery of the case might last a couple of days at most with my usage, but I don’t need to upgrade because they still work.

The latest Fairphone looks more interesting to me, but it runs Android 😂

13 minutes? This video could've been a bullet point list:
  • AirPods Pro
    • Better bass and ANC
    • Longer earbud battery life, shorter case battery life
    • Heart rate sensor for some reason even though many users have Apple Watch
  • Apple Watch
    • Blood pressure monitoring, including last-gen devices
    • Little bit longer battery life
    • SE is actually a pretty good deal now
    • Ultra can connect to satellites
  • iPhone
    • Brighter and slightly larger display with Pro motion
    • Center Stage camera with dual recording
    • 48MP ultra wide camera
    • Faster charging and Qi 2
    • Apple N1 chip for efficient wireless networking
  • iPhone Air
    • It's thin and expensive
    • Only one camera
    • Battery kinda sucks
  • iPhone Pro - iPhone upgrades plus:
    • Vapor chamber with unibody for strength and heat dissipation
    • 48MP telephoto that can do 8x 12MP compared to previous 5x
    • 56% larger sensor in the main camera to improve image quality
    • Actually great battery life improvements
    • Lower display reflectivity to improve outdoor contrast
    • ProRes RAW video that maybe 0.02% of people will use
    • MOAR RAM
You forgot the 256 GB storage across the board on iPhone while prices stayed the same. That helps sweeten the deal a bit.

How often do you really run into RAM issues though 🤷‍♂️? A vapor chamber would only matter if the iPhone were unbearably hot to hold. Most people use a case, so the Ceramic Shield isn’t a huge selling point. Battery life and display are what would actually push someone to upgrade; especially if they’re coming from something like an iPhone 12 or older.
well ram is for longevity, look now most device must have 8+ due to stupid AI. in the past someone said that 6-8 gb is more than enough for phone. because user just using for youtube, social media, and so on. now it need at least 8gb to use latest feature that phone have. iam not saying that it has issue for less than 8 gb. but some feature are not available for less 8 gb ram. and like i said before, for 15 pro the battery ,ram , and display is more than enough to upgrade. even for iphone 12 or older.

Waait just for 51 weeks, and we will get 5 new Phones from Apple. Better, faster, brighter and -perhaps- the promesses AI. So just wait.

Was a very nice event. Not so impressed with the colors on the base model. Will go see them in store. As for the Air, the phone looks premium. Should be nice to hold. Colors are a huge disappointment.

Pricing seems to be ok across the lineup. The new AirPods also seem to be good. However won't be getting them as I just got a new AirPods 4 with ANC last month.

As for the Series 11, it is a minor update compared to the 10. Not planning on upgrading. Will keep my 10. Am very happy with it. Looking forward to trying out the new watch faces.

Planning on getting the 17 Pro Max in orange. Love the color very much. Very happy to see a bright color option finally for a 'Pro' device. Think will also get the base model 17 as a backup iPhone. My mum might also go for the base 17. Hope Apple continues to have at least one bright color option for Pro models. In fact Apple should bring colors to 'Pro' iPad and MacBook.

I think next year will be just subtle upgrades, probably in 2027 they want to have some big bang release to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the iPhone

I turned the keynote off after 5 minutes and just followed the live blog kinda sorta as I was working. I just don’t live this idealized lifestyle that Apple pushes in these keynotes where everyone is creative and active and works out all day and on and on and on. I work from home, I like to be a homebody and I take a lot of pics of my cat and I host three podcasts. Let’s see how these devices work for someone like me! They really need to go back to live in person events. Th real winner for me was the regular 17, the pros are hideous and the rest are just meh updates. Wait for the sales and carrier deals.

Who is Apple's speech coach? All their presenters seem to use their hands in exactly the same way. Almost excessively, with oddly choreographed gestures. Is there some subliminal messaging going on? Are they trying to make us feel like their products are more exciting than they actually are? That last bit was a bit unfair. 😄

Ha. I checked this post with CoPilot for spelling mistakes, and it offered me a snarkier version:

Who trained Apple’s presenters—an interpretive dance troupe?
Every keynote looks like a tech-infused mime show. The hand gestures are so synchronized, I half expect jazz hands when they say “A17 Bionic chip.”
Is it a secret marketing strategy? Like, “If we wave our hands enough, maybe you won’t notice it’s just another slightly shinier rectangle”?
But hey, credit where it’s due—they do make silicon sound like a spiritual awakening.

So true. The keynotes have gotten so awkward. They really need to go back to in person events.

Oh man! I don’t think the snake oil pitch sales will change. We don’t need to renew our gadgets every season because we don’t use them in the way they would like. Give me a foldable gadget for my pocket jeans! As Steve Jobs envisioned! And no need for machine instant translation when Siri is useless and messy.

Best phone for me? Iphone 17 normal. We finally have 120hz in the normal phone.. but of course, $100 more expensive

Iphone Air? It's like a pixel 8
Iphone pro? It's like a Xiaomi Poco phone 4 or 5 something like that
