when's the "Awe" dropping??

+1 these 'events' should really be a silent update to the store.

No news on ATV or HomePod updates.

Who is Apple's speech coach? All their presenters seem to use their hands in exactly the same way. Almost excessively, with oddly choreographed gestures. Is there some subliminal messaging going on? Are they trying to make us feel like their products are more exciting than they actually are? That last bit was a bit unfair. 😄

Ha. I checked this post with CoPilot for spelling mistakes, and it offered me a snarkier version:

Who trained Apple’s presenters—an interpretive dance troupe?
Every keynote looks like a tech-infused mime show. The hand gestures are so synchronized, I half expect jazz hands when they say “A17 Bionic chip.”
Is it a secret marketing strategy? Like, “If we wave our hands enough, maybe you won’t notice it’s just another slightly shinier rectangle”?
But hey, credit where it’s due—they do make silicon sound like a spiritual awakening.

yes, my stomach turned at the start of the vid (I no long watch live due to the "over-hyped" presentations of the past few years). I closed the vid and just looked at the new products via Apple's "Compare" tab. I've had enough of "the delight of their corporate scripting", fast soaring pans and endless fast-talk descriptions. (maybe im getting old but it feels like theyre trying to over describe their marketing points within a set time limit—either physically or "in post".) Just feels alien.

Over the past 6yrs the whole 'song and dance' has diluted the brand to "fancy Target ads". And after 40yrs using the Apple ecosystem, I prefer to just use their hardware and avoid their corporate branding/subscriptions/marketeering whenever possible.

YMMV

I agree, it’s getting to be a bit much, too slick, too much hype. There used to be a time when I watched the presentations in order to pick up on features which might potentially be useful, but it has been a long while since anything really useful came out of that for me. I haven’t yet stopped watching the presentations but this was the first time I really felt dissatisfied with it.

I always look forward to these recap videos after every event. MacRumors always does a great job on them.
