At today's WWDC 2025 keynote event, Apple unveiled a new design that will inform the next decade of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS development, so needless to say, it was a busy day. Apple also unveiled a ton of new features for the iPhone, an overhauled Spotlight interface for the Mac, and a ton of updates that make the iPad more like a Mac than ever before.

Apple's event lasted for an hour and a half, but we've recapped all of the announcements in a 10 minute video, just in case you don't want to sit through the entire spiel. We've also rounded up all of our coverage below, so you can dive deeper into any of the new features.
iOS 26

iPadOS 26

I’m excited. I think this was one of the better WWDCs. Purely software focused. Solid enhancements. Plus solid dev tooling updates and AFM Framework are both game changers for Apple platform Developers.
Apple literally did nothing relevant in this Keynote.

They put a new coat of paint on a stale operating system that has numerous bugs, and then added a touch here and there that aren't significant features. iOS is slowly becoming an operating system for kids... Just look at the Genmoji feature.

Wanna know what's coming in September? An iPhone that looks exactly the same as last year's.... Except it'll be aluminium, have different color options, a 1% faster chip, and a camera that's .1mm larger in circumference.

The shareholders need to get a grip and can the C-Suite team.

I disagree. Kids don't need call hold or Mac-like windows in iPadOS. Yeah, the Genmoji stuff is dumb. But I think the software is starting to grow again.

I remember when Apple did an OS update that focused on improving the operation of software, not just flashy items. I feel like they are exploring features that matter more to make the devices more useful. It may not be revolutionary but I like the tweaks.

This was WWDC — there was a ton of platform and productivity enhancements for devs that may go unnoticed, but will none-the-less unlock near term app innovations for every day users. That’s the purpose of WWDC and Apple nailed it in this developer’s opinion.

I wish I’d have had the Hold Assist feature today. During half my workout I was on hold for 45 minutes with a shipping company waiting to speak to someone that could reschedule a delivery. And every 60 seconds the robo voice would interrupt the ****** music to let me know my call was important to them. Mind numbing.

Makes me wonder whether, if this feature becomes ubiquitous across mobile platforms (no idea if Android has it), hold times will increase as companies further reduce the number of customer service representatives they pay for, which already feels like it’s at an all time low.
