Of course, we'd get two fall announcements: one in September announcing iPhone and Watch -related products, and one in October or November announcing Mac and iPad -related products. Just like clockwork.

Given how strong the 17 was last year, and that prices are climbing, I will hold on my usual Pro annual purchase and see what the 18 standard line brings.

Not sure I understand Apple’s strategy here but if they’re changing their upgrade cycle, I think I will too.

Are you kidding me with the Apple TV again? How many times has Mr Gurman reported the Apple TV is set to be refreshed in X months? Honestly, just stop reporting the damn thing until it actually refreshes. I don't know why the Apple TV rumours piss me off so much.
I think it pisses us off because Apple has been sitting on it waiting for Siri AI when a lot of us don’t care about that crap on Apple TV. Meanwhile it needs a lot of memory for AI and prices just keep increasing. If it’s doubling from 4GB to 8GB, might we see yet another price increase, or did they already bake that in?

I also feel like this is going to be another one of those Apple TV cycles where they update it again in like a year, just to piss us off more, instead of adhering to a regular update cycle.

Most looking forward to the new Apple Watch Ultra 4. Already have an iPhone 17 so I am set until XX. Which marks the 10th anniversary of me owning the X (which overheating aside, was my favorite phone).

choosing to launch a foldable right at the start of Ternus' tenure is interesting. I'm just looking purely at the optics of this but I would think the success or failure of such a device will set people's perception of him moving forward. it's a bold move to say the least.

This is so exciting. What I’m especially curious about is how expensive all these devices are going to be. Smartphone prices are getting absolutely ridiculous.

But here’s one tip to save some money.

Instead of buying the iPhone Flop (pun intended), which is rumored to cost around $2,500, you can “save” some cash and just buy the iPhone Pro Max instead.

And whenever you need a bigger screen… drumroll… just turn it sideways.

Not sure much in sales Apple will have with the iPhones if they go up $200-300 extra. The only way I think they can get a decent sales amount is if they increase the trade in prices.

As an owner of the OG HomePod, this rumour of its come back, with new hardware, is for me the biggest surprise. Now feel like I've been of late living under a rock as I've missed any murmurs of this planned entirely.
Come back??

1st gen was released in 2018 (discontinued 2021)

2nd gen was released in 2023
(Was never discontinued and still for sale in 2026)

So what are you talking about 😂 did you not even know about the 2nd gen?

They are right on schedule for an update and there have been multiple rumors about it.

Really only 3 things people care about:

  1. iPhone Ultra
  2. iPhone 18 Pro Max
  3. Prices
Everything else is just a distraction.
Correct - Mainly hoping the Ultra releases in September and I am able to pre order it!!

I am personally excited for the iPhone Fold/Ultra however it would appear many people are just wanting a new Apple TV, which I don't think will be announced at a September keynote. If anything if they hold another event in October/November maybe then but I would lean more towards a March event when the new Siri has been out on iOS27 for a few months. Would be interesting to see what hardware people are currently using. I were late to the party so I have the 4K 2022 ethernet model with prices rising I don't see why anyone would need anything more powerful than the current model anyways as the current model which is £250 so if they double memory and storage people will be paying at least £300/£350.
