When Apple announced their brand of statistical word prediction (aka “AI”), I thought it was because they had cracked the nut of (hallucinations)

The only thing they’ve cracked is bad jokes from AI Siri when I ask her to look something up on the web and she replies “You don't seem to have an app named Web.”

The notification summary thing is a solution looking for a problem. Seemed like a forced attempt to apply AI wherever possible.

Notifications are inherently already brief summaries of things that were written as intended.

Agree. It was a kind of showcase which didn’t work very well anyway. Online informations mainly already are brief summaries.

Bringing back the calculator repeat function is something, plus always the behind the scenes bug fixes etc. Yea nothing to write home about.
