It's so cringe. The graphic designers at Apple have lost their minds lately. Or at least their sense of good taste.

I’m guessing that it confused less technical users about whether they were using wifi or cellular data.

Now fix Siri, it's still awful. I'd love to be able to ask it for directions and it gives me an answer that makes sense. Like, if I ask for directions to the Apple Store, don't direct me hundreds of miles away when there's one around the corner. Or if there's an error (i understand nothing is perfect) maybe tell me that and don't just disappear into the void.
I still have to pull my phone out 9/10 times even if I have AirPods in. Maybe work on that, idk; you are the Genius People.
Cut the dumb stuff no one wants (anything with playground in it) and just make Siri not the worst chat bot. It doesn't have to be the best but give me SOMETHING.

I think the disconnect is when people read "innovative, or feature" and it' just a search function for apps....Apple used to be peak innovation/feature rich, now their just like the rest.
Yes! I really hate splash screens. The worst is Spotify. It will briefly show me the UX and then add a splash screen so that my tap goes nowhere and I have to dismiss a notification I don't even care for. Actually, there's a chance I might care for it, idk, but they are so rampant I just dismiss them without reading.
So in essence, they are annoying and convey nothing.
Home camera notifications are back to including useful information on non-AI phones (13 Pro). Previous betas changed it to “Home” - “Someone was seen”. Ok, well that’s not very helpful. Now it’s “Driveway” - “Someone was seen”.
It looks like the title is now the room in which the event occurs or the camera name that spotted the event. Thank goodness because it was previously a big step backwards in usability of the notifications.

I mean, you do realize that those splash screens only happen on the first launch of these apps and then no other time, correct?
Something I wish that would stop myself is 3rd party apps asking for ratings/reviews constantly
If I want to do that, I'll do it myself; stop asking me!

Especially now since the new Siri AI orb just feels so lifeless without all the color anymore
Part of me hopes that this is them just bouncing back and forth between various designs and then they eventually stick to one

Glad to hear they sped up pull down to search when Siri is on. That drives me crazy on the public beta. It is so slow to pull up the keyboard and suggestions when swiping down, and I use that a lot to quick open apps I don’t keep on my Home Screen.

wish this update restored the Apple Watch reminders and timers speed/accuracy/reliability that they had previously. Long lag still and sometimes misses completely.
That change to the Preview icon is the most interesting to me. I'm someone who happens to know what a loupe magnifier is, but I imagine a lot of people have never seen or used one and wouldn't know what it is. Particularly young people. I suppose that's why they changed it. I wonder if they'll do the same for the MacOS version.

It’s really not that close to the Sony Ericsson logo in reality. It’s much closer to the 03-06 Pepsi logo.
My 18 pro went from 40% unused storage to 100% full with these latest betas. I had to revert to 26. I couldn't even take pictures anymore because I was plagued with messages about the storage being full. Just the Siri new itemizing feature took 10 GB of free space. Oh well....
Does anyone have touchscreen misalingment issues with this beta? I have this problem on an ipad and an iphone air, makes it almost un-useable in small lists.

I haven’t seen anybody complain about contrast in CarPlay. I have a 23 Honda Accord, and the contrast is not as good as it is in iOS 26. In fact, it’s lighter than it’s been in any of the iOS releases. It’s especially noticeable with Apple Maps. Has anybody else had that experience? Just wondering. Thanks.
