Still having the greyish backlight issue on black images. Extremely prevalent when booting up the phone!

It’d be great if we would be able to manually turn on low power mode on the iPad, without asking Siri, just with a button like on the iPhone.

Apple Watch unlock is a good first step on the iPhone, now expand it to other functions if possible.

I just realised today the iPhone doesn't support 5G roaming - my carrier says "iPhone 12 doesn’t currently support 5G roaming. We expect 5G roaming to come to iPhone 12 in 2021" and Apple say "Carriers around the world are still working to deploy their 5G roaming support. If you turn on Data Roaming, you can get cellular data through 4G or LTE networks when you travel" - which I take to be Apple's weasel-words way of saying the iPhone doesn't support 5G roaming.

From this article it seems like while this update resolves the dual sim dual standby 5G issue, it doesn't solve this roaming issue?

This sounds like an epic release. Well done, and thank you, Apple.

Or how about when I set my iPhone to silent with the toggle, the watch goes into silent mode too...? Some simple things I feel like they just completely overlook.
I hear ya. iMessages STILL doesn't sync between watch and phone.

I think the Apple Watch needs more admin access on the Mac. It just be able to do more than unlock your Msc.

I can unlock system preferences on my Mac, so that’s one thing more it can do. Or if I am installing software, I can use my watch to put in my password.

Pity purchases can’t be authenticated with the watch. Don’t see why not. The watch can authenticate itself so it must be secure.

For me there are 2 real irritants at the moment.

1 Unlocking the phone with a mask on.

2 Apple Pay with a mask on.

14.5 only addresses one of these issues.

just use Apple Pay on your watch. Solves problem 2.

It has been a while since a beta was THIS buggy with basic features.
- Safari doesn’t render pages as WebKit is broken (notably this very own forum). Luck of the day, I kept a Chrome installed just because and here I am using it. Bug report sent.
- CarPlay doesn’t work. At all. Not even detected by any of my vehicles. The Release notes mention the feature not working if you have contact sharing, but in one vehicle I don’t even have the phone paired via Bluetooth, so it doesn’t apply for me. Bug report sent.
- Bluetooth audio is cracking up badly on both car and AirPods. Another bug report. Dang!

We need it to be released ASAP!!!

To unlock our iPhones thru Apple Watch is not only a needed feature but mandatory.

Any guesses as to when this will move from beta to production? Thanks - I’m super excited for expanded controller support.

Apple said early spring for next release w/ the anti-tracking stuff. So sometime around then. A public beta should be coming, though.

So many nice new and surprising features in this update. This is what all .xx updates should be: introduce new features and not just some bug fixes.
