I would give it a meh. It is using Weather Channel data, but the weather channel app gives accurate rain alerts. Get far far fewer with the Apple app; very rarely.

It is also nowhere near full featured. The radar is basic basic, does not even have tropical weather tracking which is kind of important.
I'm spoiled by Radarscope so my standards are probably higher than most, but is it too much to ask for radar in weather apps to not be smoothed so returns look like amorphous blobs?

Just show me the raw pixels!

Not to be picky, but adding times for actual, civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight would be a plus.
You don't really expect Apple's target demographics to understand the difference between actual, civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight do you? Really come on! Apple is about dumbing down everything for a simple minded, clean, fresh, uncontroversial look and feel.

I really surprised Apple does much more than provide the date and "Good", "Bad", or "Take Cover"

Apple thinks it is their job to think for you, not provide you the information so you can think for yourself. Apple thinks their customers are too dumb for that.

Maybe you should consider moving. That sounds awful.
Really looking to relocate. I'm in Northern CA, and for the last 3 out of 4 years (2018, 2020, 2021) wildfires have really messed up the air quality so bad I wake up every morning with red eyes, sore throat, and smell of smoke in the house. Prior to 2018, it wasn't a problem.

The Apple Watch solar face has them. So yeah.

Also, do you imagine that Apple’s target demographic is more ignorant than the average person? Because that would be a rather ignorant assumption to make.

Macrumors is calling them Precipitation maps, not radar.

quote from the article:

"The precipitation maps are animated and show the path of incoming storms and the intensity of rain and snow, while the air quality and temperature maps let you see the conditions in your area and the surrounding areas. You can zoom in or out as far as necessary."

That sunset tile goes in the wrong direction for people in the southern hemisphere - the sun goes from right to left, not left to right.

It'll be odd every time I look at it!
