That these values will change in the fourth or fifth decimal place has little affect on day to day activities. It does help identify the source of a sample.

For high schools and 100 series chem classes in college, I doubt anything will change. Concepts are more important at this level than a carbon sample really having a mass of 12.00245g/Mol 😉.
