Hi,

I updated to Mavericks on a Mac Mini, and thought everything was ok, but it seems i keep getting crashes from evocam, which is a very important application that I use for recording / emailing images + video from my IP Cameras.

Im wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, or if anyone knows of a good alternative application compatible with Mavericks that can record video / pictures, e-mail pictures, and save video and pictures once motion is identified on an IP Camera?

A Synology DS212j

They have a live demo on their site, worth a look IMHO

Thanks, though that will be a bit more of a hassle than just downgrading.

I have received an email from someone at evocam, and sent them my information, so hopefully they can come back to me soon with a fix, or eta on a fix.

Evocam, a wonderful security cam program, is no longer being updated according to the developer. No reason was given to me, but the developer did say he can no longer work on the software. He was nice enough to write to me when I inquired about the software. There have been issues with crashes with El Capitan. I did read elsewhere on the web that some settings invoke a crash, specifically recording audio and logging web sign-ins.

interestingly enough i finally got things working well with el capitan by using their 64 bit version.

This actually is pretty terrible news to hear that the developer won't do any more updates. Anyone know of a good replacement?

Something that can record, i can set alert areas, save images and video from alarm and get a picture sent by email?
