Does anyone know the exact model/vendor that the newly refreshed Mac Book Pro's SSD drives (Both the 128 and 500) are shipping with yet? Getting ready to order a 15" but just want to double check who they are using.

Regards,
Shmac

i thought people were saying it was samsung's?

and is it worth getting?

it would definitely be better than the 5400 rpm HDD, but no. take your $300 and buy an 80 gb intel x25-m on newegg.

apparently even the new mbp's drives are user-serviceable.

Are you joking ? SSD is way better than any hdd money can buy, For started theres no moving parts meaning less chances of you hdd from breaking down , ssd make thing way faster, If you can afford ssd buy it , you will love it
