Exactly how crummy are the Macbook's graphics?

Is there any real reason they don't offer at least a dedicated card on the black MBs? Do they feel they have to handicap the MBs to make the MBP a better buying option or something?

Wow i'd much rather get a refurb CD MBP over the current C2D Macbooks for the same price.

As much as I love my Macbook, it has not been the best for gaming. I am playing LOTR MMORPG which runs "fine," but at the lowest graphic setting. I did not plan on using the computer for gaming, but alas could not turn down LOTR. It definitely functions fine, but if you are at all picky about the quality of the graphics and framerates, you might go with the MBP.

Could anyone report on how the Sims 2 runs?
It's spectacular on the X1800, does it even run with smoothed graphics on the GMA?
