Two of my keys popped out of the keyboard on my Unibody MacBook Pro, and Apple said that they didn't have the parts to fix in stock.
Four days later, when I got it, Apple said on the repair sheet that they replaced "Top case with backlit keyboard" and quoted a price of $385.
Exactly what part is that? The space bar still has the same wear and tear as it did, and the distinctive marks my unibody enclosure are still there. What did they do that costed so much?
I have AppleCare so I didn't have to pay this bill, I'm just curious.

I'm with appleguy123 on this one. You are making no sense, and certainly aren't answering his question.

"Top case with keyboard" is supposed to be the keyboard, trackpad, and the component that makes up the palmrest area and mount of the keyboard and trackpad. If you're saying that the palm rest area has the same amount of damage as before, then it's possible that they just popped off the top case and replaced just the keyboard (underneath the topcase - includes all the keys).

I do think that the trackpad feels different, but this is definitely my palm rest.
