Hi,

my chart data disappears if I hide the cells. I have found plenty on the web showing how to uncheck some box in tools->options to allow hidden data on a chart but it seems these instructions only work on Windows machines as there is no 'options' im my tools menu! How do i do it on my Mac?

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Select the chart.

In the menubar select "Excel->Preferences..." (or press Cmd ,)
In the top row select "Chart"
In the top section of the "Chart" pref window you will see a check box called "Plot visible cells only" -- make sure that is not checked.

If that whole section cannot be highlighted you need to go back and select the chart before starting again...
