Excel 2008 not saving Toolbar customizations

Anyone else had a problem getting Excel to save Toolbar customizations? I have customize and added a couple buttons (add/delete rows, Clear formatting, etc.) They seem to randomly disappear then....I can't consistently replicate the scenario that deletes them, but after a day or two of general activity, including a re-boot or two, the toolbar reverts to the standard configuration.

Any one else had this happen? Any suggested remedies?

Yeah Im not real happy with it either, it wont save and I cant for the lift of me workout how to have the Formula bar remain in the top of screen.

It kills me
